True Duals have a droning Question.. I just had custom true duals installed. The rest is in sig (what little there is right now), but from the manifolds, cats (i know get rid of them) into dual 2 1/2" pipe forming a 90/10 "X" and rolling out into bullets then under axle and out the rear, no tips on her yet <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> This sh*t is quiter than I thought, sounds damn near stock at idle and WOT, but cruising around 2k-3k there is the dreaded droning. Not kiling me, but would like to deaden the annoyance. I should be installing JetHot LT Headers in begining of Jan, and tips between now and then. Will this worsen the drone, or maybe help tone it down?
BTW, no ground clearance issues, rubbing or anything. I like the sound, need to kill the drone.........TIA.

Re: True Duals have a droning Question.. What size bullets did you use? You might want to look into longer bullets to queit the drone. Do you have any pics of the under axle installation? I'd be interested to see how that looks.

Re: True Duals have a droning Question.. Justin, if memory serves me correct, you made the X pipes right? Anyway, is there a suitable replacement for the bullets that do not drone, or very little? I have a lot of clearance to work with, but location may be a problem. Currently the bullets are right before the axle.

Cat3 yes I make them.The borla xr1s are quieter but expensive.Borla makes a new muffler called the pro xs but the only problem is the biggest they make them is a 2 1/2 in & out i'm pretty shure of this.I put a set on my friends 98 ta.It sounds good.Real quiet at idle but deep when you get on it.Very little interior noise.I still think they need to be a bit louder but not much.I just did a car with 3",x and a dual in dual out bassani muffler it really suprised me.

OMG I actually thought about Flowmaster single chambers, my friend has them and there is no interior noise, nice sound, but still hear they dont flow well. Is there an approx. hp level the single chambers are good for? TIA.
