Default True duals, what all do I need?

Just bought a 2001 SS. I want to put true duals on it. I am about to purchase some LT's (dont know which ones yet, either FLP or QTP). On my 98 I had FLP's with cats and the loudmouth, it sounded ok but was real raspy and had a lot of drone. I do not want my car any louder than the my 98. My question is what size pipe should I use, 2.5 or 3. I want to run it over the axle, I do not want dumps. What mufflers should I run? X-pipe of H-pipe? How loud will the car be with no cats and just the mufflers and LT's?

thanks

Pretty sure 3 inch wont fit over the axle on the drivers side so if you really want to go out the back then you can only go 2.5 inch.

I have a 2000 SS and I still have the stock manifolds due to lack of car funds <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> ...but I have true duals...3" X pipe and 3" pipes out the sides..and I love the way it sounds..im sure with lt's it would sound even better

You can run them over the axle. The only problem is that you will have to run both of them over the passenger side of the axle. You will need to pull off the panhard brace also.If you take the cats off and go with an x or an h pipe just look at what kind of muffler you are going to use and that will depend on how loud it is.

Manifolds, cats, 2 1/2" with X pipe and bullets, pipes under axle, no problems.
