Default Quieter exhaust muffler

We have the 2000 SLP performance exhaust (the larger muffler with a
3" inlet and two 2 1/2 " tail pipes). These mufflers came from the factory/SLP
with some kind of sound absorbing packing to meet noise requirements.
By now this is blown out and the exhaust system is pretty loud, at least for my taste.

What is a good option to get the noise down? I don't car if I loose 5 or 10
HP along the way. Thanks,

Gert

As far as I know, the stock SS/WS6 muffler is the quietest.

Why not find a low mileage take-off system that someone is selling?

Of the high flowing exhausts, the SLP Dual-Dual is the quietest.

I run the stock muffler with a QTEC electric cuttout which I'm VERY happy with. It's the best of both worlds. I can have it quiet as stock when I want to, completely uncapped when I want to, or ANYWHERE in between. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
