throttle plate hole question

throttle plate hole question got an easy for you guys, what happens if the hole in the throttle plate is too large?
i got a good deal on a bbk TB but the hole has been driled, i don't need a bigger hole(stock cam), do i need to make it smaller and if i don't how will the bigger hole effect the way it runs?
went with the bbk because i can port the whipple intake to take advantage of the larger bore.

Re: throttle plate hole question Bigger hole= higher idle.
Most of us have to do this when we put cams in our cars to get the IAC counts back down so it will idle fairly. It sets an SES light(I think) if it is drilled too large. If it is too large or you do not need the enlarged hole, you can epoxy the hole and drill a stock size hole in it.

Re: throttle plate hole question The bbk does not have a hole from the factory, so you can just epoxy the whole thing up.You should be fine.Heck for three bolt just install it and give the computer time to learn and see what happens.
