Headers
<strong>No they don't have to be coated. Best advice I can give is sand blast the new header and use the "flameproof" paint. VHT has some. It's the 1500 degree paint. I have done this a couple of times and it seems to work great.</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Thats basicly pointless (no offence) because when you buy most headers if theyre not coated theyre just painted with a heat resistant black paint. But other than that I like the look of bare meatal with all the heat and weld marks so ill end up with a bare grotts with a hi temp clear coat.
No, Stainless steel headers do not need to be coated, it's more for looks in that case.
