Raced 04 Mach 1 but..

Default Raced 04 Mach 1 but..

I dynod my car on a slipping clutch and put down 415/381 corrected. So, I ran a bolt on Mach 1 and beat him by maybe a car. I had 3 people in my car with me and he had 2. I know the clutch (spec 2) was slipping when I raced him but could it make that much of a difference.

Well, I raced him before alot of mods and before the clutch was slipping and put at least 5 cars on him.. now I'm wondering whats going on.

Maybe it was the clutch. If you know it was slipping. You drive the car alot right? You know when its performing top notch and when it isn't.

With having just one person in the car I can tell a difference in acceleration, I cant imagine having 3 other people in the car.

Well, I raced him runnin with 3 others the first time too... (vids on street fire) pretty funny cause all you see is someones hand come out the back seat shootin the bird. I ran a stock 98 TA and put 2 cars on it. I've heard that the spec doesnt slip though.. then once it starts to slip it grabs right away. They guy in the mach 1 is talkin all kinds of **** now.. saying he is going to put a lower intake and beat me once I get a new clutch, and using the good old excuse "I have a 4.6 and you have a 5.7"

Well, I think the clutch has been messed up since its been installed. I went to a shop called American Racing Technology and all they did was replace the clutch, I didnt have the flywheel resurfaced no new pilot bearing nothing just a new clutch was installed they said thats all it needed, and its been shaking so bad that the torque arm keeps coming loose.

I would get it checked out before anymore WOT runs. Rather fix a cheap part then brake and expensive part. No?

We have a street racing section chief. Slipping clutch is a DRIVER problem...... as in the DRIVER shoulda fixed the bitch. The guys in this section are too busy trying to fix their broke-*** rides than to tell you ya almost got schooled.
