Is it posible to take off the I pipe without cutting ?
Is it posible to take off the I pipe without cutting ? Im having a hard time taking it off. The only other way is to use a sawsall and cut it. But I dont have one.
Any tips ???

I think you can drop the rear end down by removing the lower shock bolts, but don't quote me. I think people have done this and removed it through the right rear fenderwell or something to that nature.

I have a WS6 and my exhaust was welded at the I and at the Y and at the over the axle also...I bought this car with 8 miles brand new at dealer. I had NO CLAMPS at all....just cut the damn thing..
If you really want to take it off whole, you're going to have to undo the rear shock, and take out the spring, then lower the rear, you might get away with doing it on the one side (pass)

Now would be a good time to invest in a die-grinder with a cutoff wheel. Mine made short work of my old I-pipe.
I've used that thing for so much it's not even funny. I've cut motor mount housings, made blockoff plates that went on 3 cars, cut bellhousings (don't ask), ported a FAST 90, polished valvecovers/throttle bodies, cut bolts, sanded slipfits, cut the radiator support.
It's like a Dremel on crack.

I did it at my firends garage and all you have to do is unbolt the rear end from the shock and take the spring out. Have a buddy put pressure on the axle and you should be able to wiggle it out. I have the complete exhaust without cutting it, muffler tips and all.....

Well let me tell you guys that I did it. I dont know if I was the first person to ever but its done. I started by hammering a flat head screwdriver at the junction of the I pipe and the Catback. You have to hammer it alot and basically what I was doing is making the pipe on the cat back flare out a little or enough to wiggle the I pipe out...... It took a LONG time and about three cuts on my freaking hand.......
