Porting Holley Intake .... Modifying Runners?
What are the thoughts regarding runner modification? My understanding is that shorter runners increase flow on the high end and increase overall horsepower. But longer runners (leave them alone) promote more torque (bottom end).
I am running stock LS1 compression with an F3 cam (226/226 .591/.591 113) and TEA stage 2 heads (2.02/1.57). Car is a 6-speed and I do have LS1 Edit.
I am also going to be adding direct port to the intake, so need to know how this changes the thoughts.
Anyone have input on what would be good to try.
