TB years?
families. The only differences
I've seen are:
Late throttle pully is larger.
Cable issues.
Late coolant line fittings are
different, '98-'99 are small,
45-degree while '02 (only late
one I've seen) has one straight,
one 90-degree that's also fatter.)
Early and late have different PCV
fresh air (return) fittings.
Aside from the coolant lines, it's
bone simple to swap the throttle
shaft & plate, and the PCV fitting,
between model years. This is what
I did, got a truck TB and ported
that, then swapped on my '02 shaft
and PCV fitting. Kept my original
throttle body casting unmolested
(except for the missing bits).
98-99 are the small cam ones w/ a brown spring. 2000-2002 are the large cam ones w/ a blue spring. A F-body TB will not have a orange spring and it will have coolant lines that are straight on the drivers side and a 90 deg bend on the passenger side.
If both coolant lines straight means that it's a truck unit, and if it has a orange spring means it's a truck unit.
Trust me I see these things all the time.
