Default 400+hp suggestions

I bought my WS6 last fall and have some money to put into it. I want to have 400+ rear hp by the end of the summer. I can't let the new Cobra get close to my car. If any one has suggestions on the best way to get it. I would appreciate the help.

I was looking at Arlington Motors Heads/Cam and rod package and the corsa exhaust. I don't know jack about quality headers. I heard finish line performance had the best.

ported LS6 heads, and a rowdy cam with the normal bolt-ons will easily get you over 400rwhp.

do a SEARCH

there are so many types, you need to have an idea what your looking for 1st.

(shorties, mid length, Longtubes)

if you want the most power, go with LT's. the type is all about what you like.

You should do heads and cam, ASP crank pulley, port your MAF ends if you have an M6, headers, and port your throttle body. With this you should be able to take on the snake.

I wouldnt even suggest a cam or heads if youre just in it so that the Cobra wont beat you. Ive got all the bolt-ons you can buy for an SS and I dynoed at 370 to the wheels. (thats 420hp to the motor, Cobras have 390hp to the motor, so it still out does it with all the bolt ons) That doesnt include the FTRA, off-road pipe, or a cut-out. I have the interchangeable off-road pipes, but didnt think of it when I had it dynoed. Im getting the FTRA soon and hopefully I will pick up a few more hp. But if you want to be sure just in case you roll up to one that has some mods done to it, I would get a cam and maybe some heads. I havent touched the internals yet , but Im thinking of doing a cam. I dont even consider the '03 Cobras in our class anymore just cause of the fact that FORD had to SUPERCHARGE the COBRAS to KEEP UP!!

Get the following cam from speed.inc

224/224 .581/.581 and 112 or 114 LSA

They sell you the cam, springs, and pushrods for $599.

This cam will make 400+rwhp on stock heads with tuning and exhaust.

So figure it'll cost you under $1500 to get it installed, tuned and dynoed.

For headers I say go for a set of hooker, jet hots, or grotts. You can get them from just about anywhere. For a cam, go with either the TR224, or the XE-R224. Both are 400hp cams
