Release bearing spring block engine!! Help

I am installing a new ls1 motor I can't seem to get the engine against the tranny because the release bearing spring pushes the engine back. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix or get around this?

use some longer bolts to draw it togeather. then replace with the correct bolts
