Aren't they guaranteed...? Will they replace your one wire with a good one...?

2yrs. ago a friend and I bought Taylors from the same vendor a month apart. 3 of his were bad and 4 of mine were. Bad batch I guess. I bought the red gm ones after that. Just ordered a relocation kit that comes with 10.4 Taylors so you know I'm going to check them. I guess quality control is a thing of the past.

Just got a set of MSD Superconductor 8.5, they ohm at 28±1 Ω, the continuity beeper on my DMM going constant.
The plug boots are long and some barely touch headers, but they are bendable and stay at the angle you bend them, so you can clear the headers.
MSD long plug boots are easier to get a good grip to remove from plug.
Taylors have smaller plug boots, better clearance but harder to grip.
MSD construction/quality is similar to Taylors, both fairly good.
MSD's seem a little heavier (I didn't weigh them).
The coil boot on both says "Delphi".
And the MSD's come with 2 stickers, must be good for 10HP or 10MPH whichever is most...

I know this thread is old but since I was just completing the venture of new wires to replace my Taylor Thundervolts that burned on the new Hookers , I figured I'd post. Some of the wires mentioned here are actually made in my home town at a place called General Cable. They make a lot of GM factory wires, MSD, Accell and Autolite Pro's. I'm sure they are not making all the wires around the country but this is how they are done. Mass produced in a factory that makes many brands built by the same people day in, day out. For those who had a bad wire or two out of the box chances are the core was nicked during stripping for ends. Knowing the people of my own city I can see this happening frequently....lol.
I have a good friend who works there build me a set of wires and let him choose which brand to use. He choose Autolite Pro 8.5's and fitted them with 115deg boots to clear my new Hookers. I have yet to ohm them out yet since I have just brought them home but he assures me he stripped them himself so there was no nicks in the cores. I'll ohm and post the numbers later.
Just a reminder that even the big names such as MSD are outsourced and mass produced somewhere where the people love their alcohol and other addictions. Nothing can be epected to come out perfect....lol

Hello Paul
The car runs great, in the spring summer and the fall. It doesn't like snow, so I'm looking at studded snows for this winter.
Seriously I installed the wires back in 2011 and I haven't regretted it. Car makes plenty of power. I'm getting close to 17 mpg with a heavy foot driving on my hilly country roads. No pinging at all in any gear or temperature..
I honestly can't remember how much gain, if any I got.
But back then, if you recall there was a big discussion going on between Grananateli and board members about the merits of his wires. I was a believer
NYC uh ? We were born and raised in Bay Ridge. I don't miss it ! Well sometimes we do. Miss the almost 24 hr. happenings. We're going back to Staten Island next week to visit.
Again! John

While I don't disbelieve the GMS claims, I simply chose what I believed to be the best bang-for-the-buck for my application. I went with ACDelco 41-110 platinum plugs and GMPP wires (advertised at 600ohm resistance). Is this better than a GMS setup? I have no idea. Do I care either way? Nope -- because it works just fine

I for one don't regret my purchase. AFAIC Graneteli made his point.

It really may just boil down to the same issue one compares between HVMC or a velocity spike for headers vs. not having them. Could one be leaving something on the table by not using the GMS wires? Perhaps. Does one need to run GMS wires? No. I think this case is best determined by the size of one's budget.
