Default WIll a '98 cat fit on a 2000?

My left cat has gone bad and I have a donated cat from a stock 98. Will the 98 be a plug a play compatible? Iknow that the exhaust manifolds are different somehow, but will this affect anything? FYI I have stock exhuast manifolds, cats and y pipe.

Thanks

Nope.... '98 cats are not plug-n-play on a '00. The '00 cats bolt right on to the back of the exhaust manifold and the '98 are further down on the exhaust......

But I do happen to have 2 '00 stock cats sitting in my garage with about 8000 miles on them if you are interested.

The left cat bolts up to the manifold on the 98. The right one doesnt.

Does anyone have any input into this? Thanks
