my buddy got his motor back i want to know what this is looks like for a dipstick but its on the passenger side for ls1s so anyone know?

that is where a lot of conversion guys tap into for the oil pressure sender. its also when you take that off that you can install the truck lines for an external cooler. take it off and you'll see 2 holes in the pan that piece just connects those holes together.

Yeah if you arent planning on running a aftermarket Oil pressure or an oil temp sensor then you can just leave it alone.
