Hooker LT Questions A friend of mine has a set of Hooker LTs on his 2001 SS. They are, of course, the 98-99 version, since Hooker doesn't make them for 01-02s. He is also running a Mr Gas X pipe and some adaptors for the EGR stuff. He is getting ready to sell his car and is going to de-mod it. I am interested in the Hooker LTs, but not the X-pipe (too loud for my taste). What I want is a Y-pipe, going into my stock SS exhaust (well, stock except for my QTP cutout).
I have a 2002 SS.
So, here is my question: Will the Hooker off road Y-pipe that is made for these LTs bolt up to my stock exhaust? I am hoping someone here is running a similar setup. Thanks!

Re: Hooker LT Questions That's what I have on my 02 Z28. Hooker LT's, Hooker ORY, and stock cat back. Works just fine. I did get the AIR tubes off of a 98 though to make it bolt up better.

So next question, was your exhaust much louder with the LT's and ORY going into the stock exhaust then the stock manifolds and cats?

Re: Hooker LT Questions No, not going into the stock exhaust and muffler. It was just barely louder than stock because the stock muffler is huge and restrictive. With any type of cat back or cutout though the sound difference will be quite noticable.
