cat question has anyone ever been pulled over and had the cop look under the car and seen no cats and nailed you for it? I was just curious as to what the penalties were legally, and what happened. (specifically in CA) Any input would be great. Thanks.

Re: cat question I've known a bunch of guys here in the Chitown area that have been pulled over with super loud exhaust (no mufflers, no cats, and headers) and the only thing the cops have nailed them for was no muffler (too loud). I've never heard of anyone getting a ticket around here for no cats. I think you'd REALLY have to **** a cop off to get nailed for that. Cali might be different though as your emission laws are about as strict as rice is slow <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" />
I've been driving around for about 3 years now with no cats, been pulled over for other things and not a word was said. Cop didn't even look. My car is not queit either....
