Default Advice: Everyone with a VOLANT cai system please come in.

Hey all:

I have a 2002 Camaro and just installed a Volant cai system. It took me a little longer then I tought it would to install. This is the single air filter for the Camaro.

Question: Does the filter sit up about 2 plus inches from the bottom of the plastic? I thought the filter was suppose to rest against the bottom of the plastic and not sit up. The hood closes but I would have to say it has to either be hitting the hood or real close.

Just wanted a little input. I went over everything and I cant see anything I could have done wrong on the install.

Thanks

If you leave the filter on the bottom of the Volant Airbox, you're losing about half of
your filters capacity to function. Also the Volant filter is going to be too small for the
402.
I installed a VETTE Blackwing in my Volant and added a SSRA. It was a VERY tight
fit, but after the install and scan the part throttle was 8% lean and WOT was 6% too.
This was in my 02SS 346cu. Hope this helps.
