Sheet metal intake..for race only???
Maybe if you had a big inch motor with a turbo or supercharger you could use a sheetmetal intake. I'd just say stick to the LS6 intake.
I was looking at maybe getting a sheet metal intake and I noticed some say for racing only. What's the deal with this. Is this like headers saying off road use only? I can't see what the downside would be to running one on the street. Thanks for any input. By the way my engine is a 422 aluminum block and I currently have the ls6 intake.

IMO it would be great if you can afford one. They are designed for big cube high RPM engines. The ports will be big and runners short, with a large plenum area. This is to make them perform at the higher RPM.

Insane power up top, but a big hit in low-end power and torque. You probably wouldn't want this unless you're running a lot of gear or stall.
For all the sponsors that read this heres a site that sells carbon fiber and kevlar in bulk www.fiberglast.com
Thanks Nate
