Quick A.I.R. System Q?
When removing the A.I.R. system, are you suppose to unplug both the electrical plugs? What is the little one for(just curious)?
Thanks!

I removed mine from my C5 while fixing the rock damage I had and it was only one plug.
So what exactly is that little pump? Is that the high pitched pump you can hear after you start your car up and are standing outside it? And what does it do? Thanks.

yep, thats the one. it pumps fresh air into your cats at start up to help light them off.
Below the pump? You're talking about the AIR pump in the fender right? There should be a plug going straight into the pump. I'm lost with the "by the pump" and "above the pump" talk, it goes right into it.

There are 2 plug harnesses in there! One that is BY the pump (that goes into it), and 1 smaller one (2 wires) that is in the "mess" of conveluted tubing BELOW the pump. Just curious as to what the small one is for.

hmm.. if I remember right.. it all comes out as one piece attached to the same frame. I chalked it up to being part of the pump setup.

Ok, cool!
I pretty much fugured it was part of the system, but wasn't sure what it was for exactly. I have removed the check valves and tubing, but left the pump on for now. I may end up using it in place of the pcv, like some are doing.
