Default corsa and cut-outs

In a 02 trans am with corsa catback, would there be a gain if I added cut-outs, the rest of the exhaust is stock, I saying open the cutouts for track and racing, will there be a gain or it it worth is.

Will there be a gain? Yes.

Will it be worth it? That depends.

If you are doing it purely for power, IMO it's not worth the trouble. But if you want that extra 2hp AND the ability to go from "Wow that car sounds mean" to "What did you say? I can't hear you over that fire-breathing ground-shaking V8!" with just the flip of a switch, get one of those neato electric cutouts. For the sensory experience it's worth it.
