Default Unplugging engine wiring harness?

Hey guys and gals; I'm in the process of dropping my engine and transmission out the bottom. There sure is a lot of wires going to the engine! Is there a master plug somewhere that I could unplug from the car so that most of the wires can stay connected on the engine? Help would be appreciated!

Jaxon

NO not 1 connection . Easier to remove harness from motor.

When we dropped my motor out, we unplugged two connectors in the pass side footwell/kick panel and pulled it back through the firewall (you'll need to take the ECM out for access). Actually we raised the body off of the motor/subframe with a lift.

Those two connectors disconnect about 90% of the wiring. You still have a few ground straps, starter, and a few other small things to unhook that I can't remember.

Just do like we did..... go slow when you start separating the motor from the body and keep your eyes open. You find all the little stuff as you go along. We succeeded and we aren't the brightest bulbs on the block. You'll be fine if you have a little patience and go slow.

Ther may be othr/better ways, but this worked well for us.

Scott is exactly correct. Remove the factory PCM and all the connectors along the passenger side fender. Then, go inside the car and remove the kick panel on the pass. side. A '98 car will have 3 connectors you need to undo and '99+ will have 2. Once you undo these, pull the harness through the firewall. Once you do this and undo the necessary grounds, connections, etc, the engine harness will come out with the motor/tranny.
