Last year I was considering Corsa to go on my 98 SS, but reading some old posts I found tonight in the search catagory I'm not too sure.

Mufflers falling apart, rocks in the muffler, clanging noises when in reverse, this all scares me.

Does anyone have any visibility on if the fix was made?

 

from what I hear corsa has fixed their problem. I have had zero problems on mine.
The thing you have to realize is that when you hear about a problem its like one person out of a thousand but you don't hear about the thousand other people cause they don't complain.
With that I would definately suggest getting the corsa. I love mine and wouldn't trade it for the world. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

 

I love the Corsa setup!! Vids are on my homepage. Yes I did have one muffler go south on me, they quickly shipped me a new one no questions asked. Just call them up and ask them what they think happened and if they've put in place any corrective actions to prevent it from occuring again.

 

My muffler lasted 6 months. Corsa sent me a new on no questions asked. It sux but it cost me 90 buck to have it reinstalled. Great system, but tuff takin chances like this. I bought mine in April 02'. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Those of you who haven't witnessed any problems, did you purchase straight from Corsa, or did you buy it from a local shop?

 

I bought mine through MTI. No problems at all for 2 months. Big companies can and do demand top quality products from the manufacturer.

 

I bought mine & had it installed at MTI over a year ago and have about 18000 miles on it. No problems even after adding a cam & FLP headers.

I'm on my 3rd muffler.They have lasted me about 4k miles each.I did notice on this last one they sent that it was different,so maybe they fixed it.My mufflers get abused.Have over 90 1/4 mile runs on my car that only has 12k miles on it.

 

The new Corsas are just fine. I had one of the first units that shipped and it lasted just about a year before the baffle gave up causing the rattling sound at certain RPM ranges that you may here about.

Corsa took care of me no questions asked with a new muffler including return shipping for the old one so they could cut it up for diganosis. That's a great looking product that sounds great and the company has the customer support to keep improving the products. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
