I did a dual 2.5 exiting in front of the rear tires and it was WAY too loud plus I lost power.

BTW watch your mouth and learn some patience

Chris

Genius... it's a 3 day weekend. Only the few of us 'stuck in the snow' are on our computers.

This isn't a "Fact(s) on demand" service. It's a interactive place to share knowledge. With that wonderful attitude, doubt anyone will want to share anything with you.

Default anybody seen these duals?

just wondering if anybody has seen any true duals that come out the side of the car. i was thinking about taking off my loudmoth and cutting the resonator in half then weld some outlets on the cut ends. then fabricate a custom x-pipe. join them together and angle the pipe out to the side of car. put on some slash cut tips and put them right in front of the rear tire. if any body has any pictures simular please post. i would much appreciate.

It is people like that i didn't want to have my avatar.

Calm down, nothing is really fast on this board. But when you get an answer it is a good one, no one just talks to talk. But being from IL with all the cajuns you probably arn't used to that.

the pics in my sig have pictures of my sticker that the avatar is from

Haven't seen one like that; but that is what I am after. Long tubes, 3" in and 2.5" out X-pipe, and straight to the rear tires instead of bending back toward the rearend. Muffler choice may be interesting. I want Flowmaster 10 series mufflers so placement might be a problem. I have heard that you cannot put the mufflers before the x-pipe. Too bad, because that would be perfect .

Why go through the trouble of cutting your resonator in half and doing all the welding when you can buy just the resonator from SLP for about 90 bucks?

your probaly right. i started to think maybe have the resonators half the length and half the diameter to keep the same backpressure as the loudmouth. maybe even a little bit smaller diameter. i like the resonator sound. are bullets considered resonators?

Not sure, the only resonators that I've seen that were advertised as such were the SLP units. If you're dumping the exhaust out the side, you probably need to reduce the sound level a little, B/C it will change the sound quality. I had side exhaust on my '94 Camaro behind the rear wheels with a crossflow muffler. It sounded cool when passing other cars or buildings.
