Default TB, MAF and Bellows worth it??

I'm going to have a full bolt on car with a 4400 stall and a TRex cam. I will keep the LS6 intake and not the FAST because I will be building a 408 and swapping the intake, heads and cam over in a year and a half or so. I will most likely use a sheetmetal intake and don't see a need to install that on the 346. I will, however, be running a set of ET 215 or 225 heads with the TRex cam.

Will a ported TB, aftermarket MAF and bellows be worth the short term (like I said, about a year and a half or so) gain with the LS6 or should I just put that cash aside for the Victor Jr or similar?

Short term I'd just go with the TB. Leave the MAF alone, and the bellows is just an appearance mod, one that can crack your lid if you go the Fernco route.

I agree...TB only. If you absolutely HAVE to mess with your MAF, get some ported/desceened ends, so you can return it to stock if you develop any issues.

yep, make it a third... just either port your own TB or get it ported and leave the rest alone

i went the fernco route but how exactly can it crack the lid when its not connected to the lid? lid-maf-bellow-tb.... and dont descreen the maf, dont touch the maf...its very senstive....port the tb if u want a bellow get the fernco deal in my opinion and just boil it so it fits over everything properly and ull be good to go

Another one for TB ported, as far as the MAF leave it alone. Mine was descreened when I had my car tuned and runs fine, but still a stock MAF... Lid and TB are very good mods

The bellows cracked my lid. It puts constant lift pressure on the lid and cracked both the inside prongs.
