QTP Catalytic Y Pipe Info and Pics
I want show what I have been up to so far. I have 3 cats that i plan on testing. I am going to JPR next week to have them flow benched to see the difference between them
Here are the contenders:
Random Tech 3" Standard Cat Small Body
Random Tech 3" High Flow Bullet(Metallic) Cat
Catco 3"
Now i would like some input here. The Catco cat is like half the price of the standard Random Tech cat. If it flows close to the random, what would you choose? Would you not buy the catco becuase it doesnt have the name of random?
Some other info. The catco is not as tall as the random. Helps with ground clearance and body clearance.
I will probably offer all 3 types of cats to begin with. After they are flowed i will update this post with the flow numbers.
Each one works with my Y pipe with no problems. Just have to test fit them in the jig for easier production.
Once again this y pipe will fit QTP/Hooker/Jethot Headers. If anyone asks there is no room for dual cutouts and cats in the y pipe.
Expected Pricing:
Y Pipe w/catco $450-500
Y Pipe w/standard R/T $650-700
Y Pipe w/high flow R/T $800-850
Price might be on the high or low side that is listed. All depends on the getting them fitted in the jig.
I am also thinking about offering are extra off road pipes to swap in and out. It wont be a easy switch but can be done for inspection time.

Hope my two cents helps
Got my new y-pipe and electric cutouts. I'm up for inspection in about 18 months, so I'll be ordering a set of these in the future.
Thanks for the awesome customer service and products.

I'd personally favor the highest flowing cat, followed by whatever would give the most ground clearance. Oh, do your QTP's have ball-flange fittings? The set I got from Roger has 'em, and I tend to like that style of fitting.

You need at least 12-18" from the collector to the cutout. You dont want outside air effecting o2 readings.
Running a cutout before the cat would be like running with out a cat if you got pulled over. It would be illegal if you can bypass the cat.
Call me if you want me to go into detail over this.

So which ever set-up will gain me the most performance and get me a sticker is what I will buy!

What is the pricing on these cats by themselves?
