Default painted headers smoking after install?

Is this just excess paint burning off, or is something not right?

I just finished up the install last night. and it seems to start fine (no leaks) but it started smoking from everywhere. is this burn off?

If you used liquid wrench or WD-40 to loosen the bolts/nuts, it's probably that burning off. Is it a ton of smoke or just a little? What does it smell like?

That's typical after the first few times you run the engine after new header install.

Word. I still remember that smell and it was over a year ago.

I didn't get much smoke, but I definitely remember the smell...mine smelled almost like burnt rubber; I looked and looked for a wire or hose melting, or a belt rubbing, couldn't find anything...mine eventually went away.

Sounds like me too. Don't worry about the smoking, it wil stop after the 2nd or 3rd time you run the car.
