I dont see how in the **** a new intake will mess up the a/c. Do you guys think it got mess up do to the intake install or was it because it just stop working. It blows cold air to the feet **** but no air to the top vents. What can it be?

VACUM operated hvac controls, did you re-connect the little vacum line back there and make sure it's tight where it won't pull out.

The sensor that you removed and the line that you plugged should both be on the drivers side. Those are for the evap solenoid. The little vacum line that needs to be connected is also behind the intake but on the passenger side of the intake. There should be a "t" fitting near the rear sensor on the back of the intake. It'a a small line. Easy to miss. Take 15 minutes and pull the intake foward (if you cant get your hands back there) and feel around for the fitting. Chances are thats your problem in this case.

no, like i said it's a small line. yes it would be a vacum leak, but small. also like i said the hvac (heating, ventilation, air condition) controls are controled by vacum.
pull the intake

The line is on the PASSENGER side. This line controls your vent position.

You don't have to remove the intake to plug that line back it, it just slips on. Here's a pic of it. You can barely see it on the right (points toward a/c box) and is made out of the BLACK plastic. You'll feel it if you jam your arm back there. Thats the brake booster on the left and the MAP hole.

Here's what it looks like on an LS6, its the little one pointing right. You're going to have to find that hose and re-connect it. I believe it actually runs into the wire loom by the PCM, after which it has a T fitting and one side goes to the vacuum canister behind the passenger side foglight (i think that's where it goes).

Yes it should. The entire purpose of that piece is to controll the trap door in the a/c system.

I have the EXACT same problem with the a/c blowing on my feet only. I got this after installing my headers, NOT an intake. I reached around to the back of the intake and found a T connecter that had one end open (unplugged). I found what I felt to be an open vacumm connection and I plugged it in...the air still blows on my feet. I've had this problem for months now, I've checked everything, what the hell is going on here???
