Speed,Inc true duals
When you figure that some of the catbacks out there are $700+, $1200 is not too bad for a true dual system exiting at the rear of the car, using top quality mufflers, and high quality tips. Also, you really would not beleive how well this system tucks up under the car when you see it in person. My Bassani stock-style Y-pipe hangs lower in some areas than any part of this system...
<strong> OMG!!!! $1200 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> Somebodys smokin somethin' funny <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">It's not cheap, but it takes me about 10 hours to make the system, plus the cost of the parts.
It's mostly an advantage on higher hp, larger CI setups. My old 383 LT1 made 453rwhp 416rwtq through a similar setup.

<strong>Jim, is this something you guys only install at the shop on a car by car basis?

Thanks,
Justin
It just gets a bit more complicated because the electrical connectors for abs/fuel tank are on the drivers side, along with the fuel lines and rear brake hose.

<strong> Well I do have heads/cam already, plus I'll be running 7#'s of boost. So would I benefit from this system? Is it stainless or aluminized? And how loud is it? I love the way it looks though. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> I mean if I can gain like 20 rwhp over my borla once the ATI is installed, I just might have to look into this setup. </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">It seems to work well with supercharged applications. Our shop car made over 700rwhp through that setup, and my car made 634rwhp through a similar setup. I can't say how much it's worth over a single exhaust, because we've never done a back to back comparison. Doesn't seem to be holding the cars back though <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> .
The shop car is relatively loud, but not obnoxious like a loudmouth. The Trans Am in the pictures is a cam/heads car and was quieter than most aftermarket cat-backs IMO. Sounds deep/smooth, not raspy.
edit: The pipes are aluminized. The exhaust on my car hasn't rusted in 2 years, but it doesn't see bad weather often.

If people are paying $1200, then more power to ya <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
The over the axle part is the hardest. That takes alot of time to get right.
Call for an "up to the axle" setup. 3" X pipe to dynomax bullet mufflers with 3" turndowns for $549.99 2.5" for more groundclearance $529.99
Quoted from their site
Speed Inc does nothing but TOP quality work too so the welds are probably perfect.
Look at the pics on their site, the axle part is not easy.

The setup looked really good, very nice, didn't get to hear it though, it was still in the process of being put together... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Add Jet Hot's LT's for $567 and you have what I believe to be the best sounding, priced, and looking system for about $1300. That is a "no-brainer". BTW, Hooker's tips freakin' rock...3" dual/duals. I spent $100 on my Meg's oval tips and now are looking pretty on a shelf...
