Looks like great work there Bret! Can't wait till I get mine back from you. Hoping to see good gains from the Tb and if it flows as good as it looks then I will be more than happy.

Hey Bret,

What "coating" is that on Les' older TB? Is that chrome powdercoating or just the "burnished" tb?

I was one of the very first to pick up one of these from Bret. I'm really happy with mine! Great work!

Now if it will only stop snowing I can install this bad-boy.

A C5 unit will not work on a F-body since you would need the throttle by wire controls to run it.

A ported F-body TB is your best bet.

HONESTLY....would this help a H/C stock cube motor or a waste of money?

400rwhp=about 500hp. I've yet to see a carb that flows 700cfm support that well. It's a easy 10hp for a 500hp engine to go from 700cfm to 900cfm, which is basically what the TB porting does.

So yes on a heads cam car it's needed.

Bret,
I wanted to let you know that I installed the TB this week. Too bad the car is up on blocks until the snow metls!

Anyway - the new porting and epoxy is very cool. I did not have mine powdercoated, but I did spend the extra $10 to have Bret clean up the outside as best he could. Then, I spent about 4 hours on the outside with some aluminum polish to make it really shine. Looks great under the hood. Only problem is - my air conditioning lines look dull now. I guess I have a project for the first rainy day of spring!!!

Forgot to mention - the TPS voltage read 4.60 volts dead on without any adjusting. Very cool...

Thanks,
