TR6 spark plugs
The coil packs?
It's 4 10mm bolts holding it onto the valve cover, all of 5 minutes to take it off. Use a deep well 10mm socket, that's it, recommend 1/4" as the back ones are hard to get to under the cowl. If memory serves me right ( been 4 years since I took out the back back one and threw it out ) you might need to use a 10mm gear wrench to get at it.
Anyway the best tool for getting that back bolt is a regular 10mm box wrench. You get about 1/16th turn and reset. I bought every tool known to man including some flex box wrenches but the way the bolt is sunk in only a standard 10mm Craftsman box wrench worked for me. The toughest part is even seeing the damn thing. It was by far the roughest part of the job for me. Even getting 8 out was not that big an issue. Just used a regular spark plug socket and a pivoting head ratchet.
Still much easier underneath.
I just got done taking that coil packs, a pain in the asssssss... damit now it looks easy but thats what I hate when I work with my car, (Complicated Simple Stuff) Im not putting that screw back ever, you know, the last one.. I also tried from under the car and the #8 is easy from there but for the left side I had to take the stupid coil pack The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
The two ratchets at the top are indexing ratchets. You can get them for 15 bucks at Home Depot. I'd only buy the 3/8's if I had to do it again butthe 1/4" helped with the coil pack bolts.
