I have headers and I change 1-7 from the top and 8 from the bottom. I can do all 8 in under an hour. None of that coil pack removal stuff either.

I was just reading through this because I have to change out my 90 dollar AC Delco Iridium plugs for a colder plug... I did the Iridiums when I did my cam swap, and it was still a bitch! I have to agree about that last coil pack bolt, there was no way in hell that ****** was going back home... ****, I think putting it back on would have been 10x as hard as taking it off. IF YOU OWN AN LS1 GET SOME GEAR WRENCHES!!! I wish I had listened to everyone about that the first time around.

"and my hands are going to heal soon I hope"

Invest is mechanics gloves. I did not use them for 4 years, and my hands would look like shredded paper. Now I can't live without them, best $20 spent on tools to date. Autozone or Advanced Auto.

My hands hurt hahaha, they will toughin up over time. Sometimes its near impossible to get around in an engine for me with gloves. I only wear gloves when Im working on an old greasy truck with room to get around.

My advice to people who can afford it and dont enjoy working on their cars, dont do it, you are the most likely candidates to screw something up. If you dont enjoy something you most likely arent very good at it. So grow a vagina or something soft to stay at home and play with while you mechanic gets down and dirty. If you cant afford to have a car worked on and dont like to work on them, then go trade yours in for a Toyota

I agree. I can't work with gloves on either. And the gloves would have done little to protect me from this....

Same here, I have special gloves but the worst part is in my arms not my hands

Well, I now wear a jacket or sweatshirt when doing it even if it's hot out. I'd rather take a shower then scratch the crap out of my arms.

Seems like the studs on the coil brackets get the bottom of my arms and the sharp plastic snaps under the cowel gut the tops. I filed those down some though. I agree it sucks, was just pickin at ya
