Flow at what? Are you trying to compare muffler flow to straight pipe flow?

I am trying to figure out what size exhaust pipes I need for my new setup. Using the standard calculation of horsepower x 2.2 = scfm, leads me to believe that the pipes need to flow 1200cfm.

How much power are you going to be making? Dual 3" will flow more than enough, but dual 2.5" or a single 3" will suffice for most heads cam cars.

Last time I dynoed the car it made 431/401, swapped out cams, changed a few things so I think it should be 440-460rwhp now. On the bottle add 125rwhp to that so close to 600rwhp on nitrous. Is 2 - 2.5" pipes sufficient for a 440rwhp H & C car? Everyone I am talking to outside of the ls1 market is saying I need a dual 3" for that horsepower vs cid.

I am wondering the same thing for my car. I think I am going to go with 2 2 3/4 pipes into 3.....I am just doing a heads/cam...solid roller though.

Phil did you ever go to MIR....I was wondering how that track is.
