Ported TB Swap
Ported TB Swap Here is a follow up question about swaping my throttle body, since the one I bought as a smaller cam and I was told that I had to switch out the cam shaft of my TB and install it on the ported tb.

I was wondering if instead of switch out cam shaft, if I could just switch out the throttle cable instead? Does that make sense or should I just switch out the can shaft?

I was told by several on here the same thing. But I just installed mine without doin that. And it works fine so far. I also did the TB bypass with a little piece of metal tubing. It took about 20 minutes to put in the new TB & do the bypass. The TB I put on is a 2002 Port & Polished TB.
That shaft/cam is very simple to R&R if you actually have to. Remove the TPS, remove the throttle blade, and then hit the shaft lightly with a hammer. Ther is a little washer that will fall off, i don't think you even need to replace it. Install new shaft and blade making sure it's not sticking, replce the TPS and your done. Oh yeah put the return spring back on too.
