Throttle Body: NEED HELP

Throttle Body: NEED HELP
I just spent 2 hours this morning installing my BBK throttle body after rerouting the coolant lines (the connectors on the TB hit the engine coolent intake) and installing it, the damn car idles from 200 rpm to 2000 rpm and when I gave it gas the rpms went up but never came back down! Plus all the gauges were oscilating, Oil, temp, etc.So i put the stock one back on. It idled 1500 for a few seconds but i guess the comp recalibrated and it went down to 800 which is normal. Any suggestions on what I should do? I think i need to take it and have the comp reprogrammed but i could be wrong ... any suggestions would greatly be appreciated thanks!

Re: Throttle Body: NEED HELP
Something is not sealing right, causing a massive air leak. It doesn't need progamming. Find out what doesn't seal t/b to intake or plate to t/b. Something is f@#$ed up.

Re: Throttle Body: NEED HELP
Several things might be coming into play here. First, are you sure you put the spacer in the correct direction, sounds like it might be backwards? You will notice the hole in the spacer is larger on one side that it is on the other, it's tapered. One side is the same as the MAF and the other is the same as the intake manifold. Second, did you drill the throttle plate for an idle air hole? If it's to big the idle won't come back down. You might also check to see that the blade is fully closing at idle and not sticking when you give it gas, sometimes mine does that. You shouldn't have to have the PCM reprogramed just for the T/B.
