Y pipe worth the money
Y pipe worth the money Let me know if you guys have any good results from changing the factory y-pipe. I am going to be keeping the cats on my car and I have the loudmouth exhaust.I was thinking about getting the lg motorsports G2 y-pipe or maybe the slp one.
Is there any changed in sound or performance from one of these y-pipes.

Re: Y pipe worth the money If it's replaced with a same diameter Y-pipe there will be no measurable gain. The flat spot that many worry about just doesn't seem to matter once the car hits the rollers or the track. However, with some combinations, a larger diameter Y-pipe can be a slight to large help...depending on the combination and how much power is being made.

Re: Y pipe worth the money I've been looking into doing the same. I'd say a gain of 5-10hp should be seen. From what SLP tells me, the SLP y-pipe will make the Loud Mouth a little
louder and a little deeper sounding. They aren't a lot of money to replace and will give you a slight performance gain. If you don't have any header plans
in the near future - go for it!
