chin spoiler necessary for proper cooling of radiator?
just looking for proof i can print for a non believer, a customer has his camaro (96) at the shop i work at,and has overheating problem at highway speeds, but he ripped his spoiler off under the car and swears it aint necessary, and thinks we're full of sh*t for trying to sell him one. I've seen this before, without spoiler ,air goes right under the car at speed, and doesn't get directed up through radiator....any good bule\tins or such stating this fact? taanks

He's wrong, you are correct. The air dam also helps mileage and top speed, if either matters to him. My gut feeling is he's not going to have his mind changed with facts.
It depends on how much you value his business. You could offer to put a new one on, have him pay for it, and run his car. If he's dissatisfied, take it back off and refund his $, and he'll be overheating again.
Of course, there's an old saying about a few % of your customers causing 90%+ of your headaches; IMO they aren't worth having as customers.
My $.02
