Loudmouth Noise Level
thanks

But things changed when I installed a higher stall torque converter (Vig 2800). With the higher stall, it seemed like all I did was drive around in the 2000 rpm range - right in the infamous "Drone Zone" of the loudmouth It was oppressively loud at worst and tiring at best. What made it worst is that living in the city, the sound echoed off everything. I had cops following me everywhere and I got a warning about my car being too loud before I decided to do the "dynomouth" (in my case "borlamouth") conversion.
So I guess if you have an A4 with a stock TC, then the Loudmouth is not out of the question, even with long tubes. But if you go with a high stall converter, buy some earplugs, and watch for cops. Or do the "dynomouth" conversion to it.
Hope this helps

Since then, I swapped out my Hooker with my buddy for his LM with Dynomax Bullet cause I wanted more volume. I like the loudness and sound but am still working on removing more of the drone. It drones only 1/2 as bad as it did with the LM Resonator but that's still borderline too much for me.
One thing that you've gotta love though, is a LM at WOT when you're passing someone. That is a MEAN, intimidating sound!
