If you want to go ***** out, get the QTP's with the HVMC (high velocity merge collector). If you don't want to shell out the cash get the Pacesetters, there's no reason to get any other coated mild-steel header.

only differances really are ease of install, finish, and price

if you want to spend the money get the QTPs, otherwise get the coated Hookers, thats what i got and they work just fine

if you want to save some money, get some pacesetters, i don't know what everyone else is talking about, but those were the only headers to give me a hell of time putting them in

Someone must have ran over your Pacesetters with a UPS truck! The very early design has some problems, but they have been revised and fit great from what I've seen. I've got a set on my car and they almost installed themselves.

passenger side was the bitch, EGR hookup was in a werid location, kept getting caught on the K-member, and then once in, made it hard to tighten header bolts and even the spark plug

I think QTPs have clearance issues with there y pipes so I got the coated 1 7/8s kooks on the way,Qtp say there headers give 40hp or so and I suspect kooks are just as good, as for hvmc I dont no if the kooks collecters are as good or not but I think they have a venturi collecter with turbulance spike or something so should be just as good unless anyone knows better?

I too have Pacesetters ( EGR type) coated.. have approx. 110K on them.. some surface rust but still solid! VERY simple install.. NO problems whatsoever..

Getting ready to replace them with the Pacesetter "Race" style ( non-egr) headers.. along with my ported LS6 heads this week!! I can't wait!!
