I haven't seen one in person yet but I believe they modifed it to accept the oval opening of the throttlebody. I have to get one in to check it out.

58mm Throttle Body (1100) CFM: We also offer a throttle body for those who have larger tuned port motors and especially Mini-Ram equipped motors. The 58mm throttle body features a built in air foil and flows just over 1100 CFM. The 58mm is a custom billet aluminum piece, and there is no exchange. This Throttle Body is good for up to 600 HP normally aspirated.
Mono Blade Throttle Body (1300cfm) You'll have to convince us to sell you this one. Recommended for motors over 420 CID.
The LS1 throttle body is a ported stock throttle body. We reshape the entry, which helps it flow better, 8-10 RWHP better, on a stock C5. All LS1 throttle bodies are sold on an exchange basis.
Also they sell for about $220
Maybe Tom is talking about something different?

This is an oval throttlebody that flows 1200 CFM. They have seen up to 22 hp with this and a modifed LS6 intake on a stock motor and close to 30hp on a modified motor.

I admit, I am new to the LS1 world, but everything I know about air induction tells me that 1200CFM is WAY too much for a stock 346 bottom end. Am I wrong? On an "LT" engine, a 58mm TB flows at about 1000CFM, and those who used them on their stock blocks had a ton of trouble getting the engine to run correctly- AND most of them were running H/C packages! Tom, you noted 22 hp on a STOCK engine??!
Someone set me straight here!
Furthermore, the advertisement was not supposed to go out until later they said. The 1200CFM Throttle bodies wont be ready until August!!
Knew that didnt sound right.
Who is selling the BBK TB for LS1 motors?

I guess the key words are "up to 22hp". I'll have to give them a call to see what they usually see for a gain with this package.
Tom
me it would be about $1200 for the throttle body
and the intake mods on my ls6 intake. They cut the front of the manifold off and plastic weld an adapter on.They also said the 22hp was flywheel hp.
