I just got my fast toys ram air in the mail today and pulled out the instruction manual...whoa! This thing is like 20 pages! Is it just me or does it seem like it would be a P.I.T.A. to install? Can anyone who has installed one of these offer some assitance and maybe some tips so when I tackle it tomorrow I'll have an edge on this thing?
thanks

thats funny my grandpa and myself put mine on over christmas vacation. a couple of quick tips: use a jigsaw to cut the plastic with, not snips. and go ahead and ovalize the bottom holes on the mount. they were off about 3/8" on my kit. it will save you time and frustration.

My friend and I installed one on my 98 Z yesterday. It's not difficult to install it just takes patience and you have to be able to follow directions. As long as you follow the directions you'll be ok.

well a buddy of mine installed it today and it took about 2 hours. we used the dremmel to cut the pieces out of the airbox which made life much more easier! We also found it easier to take the entire air dam off and put it back on in front of the FTRA...looks much more sleek and it really helps if you have a friend push down as hard as possible when lining up the mounting holes. I took some pics if anyone out there wants to see how the install went as well.
one question though...does your lid notches not fit into the 4 slots at the top??? Mine doesn't fit in them anymore and I was wondering if it was caused by the foam pieces that were required to seal.

Get a buddy to help you. It tooke me and my grandpa (!) just a couple hours to do it.
Just read very carefully, and go slow, and youll be fine.
