Default Anyone ever ran their car w/o the Coolant Resv.?

Does it over heat at all? etc etc...

car is apart and the engine out... just wondering if it worth while to toss the resv.

Im running an electric WP with no Tstat...

when the coolant warms up it expands and flows into the resevior. When the engine cools it pulls the coolant back out of the tank. You should put it back in, or you will probably have problems.

I ran mine for over a year with no resevior. This was with a 422 that was hotlapped at the track relentlessly. No problems. I plugged the hole where it used to go to the resevior and I left the fluid just a little bit low to allow for expansion...or, if you don't, it'll make it's own room by bubbling out the extra through the cap. If that happens on the track, they WON'T like it! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />

Honestly, there's no real reason to pull it. The weight from the plastic tank is negligable. I'd just leave it intact.
