Default Would you buy this?

This guy around my area is partting out a 2002 Camaro SS. I called him and I told him I want the Intake Manifold(LS6), and he would sell it to me. He said I can just have the intake with the injectors and fuel rail. The only thing is the car was flooded during Katrina so Is the Intake manifold ok after being flooded.

It should be fine. If anything, just give it a good cleaning before you put it on.

As you know, the intake is nylon, so water won't have any effect at all. Like Fast377 said, just clean it and the injectors. Flush with hot soapy water, rinse it, blow it out with compressed air, and then just leave it out in the hot sun to fully dry.

If you can clean it out, it should be fine, but I would not use the injectors/rails.

I just bought the manifold and your gonna laugh for how much I paid for it The manifold came with injectors, rails, and the throttle body still attached all for $50. yes $50 and yes I am pretty damn sure its a LS6 it has no EGR hole and it came off a 2002 Z guy wanted to sale me the rims and tires to for $200 but they were 16s but I want 17s to put some drags on probably should of bought them though. I just wonder if I should just use the injectors and the fuel rail off this manifold or put my injectors and rail on the LS6?Is there any difference in injectors?

Nice score! 50 bucks for an LS6 is a steal!

I'm actually surprised he was able to get a Katrina car. I heard all the insurance companies were going to destroy them all due to the bacteria problem and liability they could face if someone got one of those and got sick down the road.

I still think my GMMG for 75 was a better deal but your deal is close

Good luck man!

No, they don't destroy the Katrina flood cars. I still see them at the salvage auctions all the time.

The gaskets should be ok. Double check them and possibly post a pic here. I'm sure board members can let you know. Sounds like a great deal.

I just checked about new gaskets about $80 so I think I will wait till I pull my LS1 intake off and check the gaskets. Can someone tell me if the back plug in on the LS6 intake will be ok or can I pop it off and put the one off my LS1 intake on it.

You can swap it out with yours if you need/want to. Hard to say if it's good or not. If it sat under water for a while.....probably not. MAP sensor BTW.
