PSJ, would you email me the prices that you have found for the oval tube? Including elbows. The prices that I have found so far are a joke. 3" is what I am looking at.

A suggestion, you could also consider a oval to round transition, that would not limit your choice of mufflers, however I can see where it would limit your choice of clearance. I like the Eldebrock RPM, but I dont think they come in a oval, and probably are not as quiet as you would like. Good luck. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

I can get a 3 foot long section, round to oval, for ~ $30. Worst case I could buy 4 pieces, and cut two of them down... I'd rather have it all be slip fit.

Most of the exhaust components are $25 to $30, but I'll call them to confirm on that.

John...I don't have true duals, but I used these mufflers to cut down on rasp with my off-road Y and Loudmouth. I put one on each side of my y-pipe and it sounds quite nice. They only have one "V" inside and are very small and low-profile.

My only point of reference with the Spintech's is a friend of mine who has a 700RWHP 542 BBC that only loses about 8 RWHP with the Spintechs <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Has anyone here seen the Indy 500 Mustang? I hate to bring up a ford and all, but the way it dumps the exhaust is through the trim piece on the bottom in front of each rear tire. If I remember correctly it's also through an oval pipe. Has anyone thought of this? Possibly both on the passenger side like the lightning? Just figured I'd kick some more ideas into this mix.

<img src="http://www.drgas.com/photos/35ovalhpipe1.jpg" alt=" - " /> (3.5" oval)

<img src="http://www.drgas.com/photos/35singleexitovalhpipe1.jpg" alt=" - " /> (same...single side)

<img src="http://www.drgas.com/photos/ovalsingleexitunequalxover1.jpg" alt=" - " /> (same with X, my fav)

Also, they carry the SpinTech mufflers and the 3.5" tubing is like $10 per foot.
