Default headers painted instead of shining and coated

Does it hurt the life of the headers much or at all to be painted black instead of getting the coated and having a chrome look? I have a black car and want the headers to be black to hide, because I am not going with black and chrome under the hood. Think getting the black painted would be too bad?

You can get them coated in Black. Black paint does very little for the protection/longevity of the headers. I have all my headers coated, its the only way to go. <img border="0" alt="[pimp]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_pimp.gif" />

Plus the coating helps with heat retention. I wouldn't worry about showing, they are very hard to pick out under there.
