I allways see you on here preaching about Cats.. but now i understand yor point and im proud to say that i have a MUSCLE CAR Iron block 408 cubic inches.. so i guess its ok for me to not run cats???

Cats Suck.. they make cars sound toooo muffled.. if you dont want rasp, get duals.. end of story/

i'll be going pacesetter as edelbrock offers no catted-y. ORY's on f-bodies not only are illegal and smell like ****, they sound like **** too. whatever you get, put cats on it.
Pacesetters are illegal too. I love the catless sound and happen to like the smell of gas.

From my experience, the rasp biggest contibuting factor is not the catback but the actual Y merge pipe in the Y pipe.
Magnaflow has the best rasp reducing Y merge IMO

the 1st set of edelbrock long tubes had the problem of them spraying the coating over the paint. and it wouldent stick

not they just use the ti tech coating and theres no problems

imo the edelbrock long tubes and their y pipe are top of the line

1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8 witch has been proven over and over to make more hp and a 3.5" collector.

imo cant go wrong with eather.
yes ps have proven results and edelbrocks are proving the same

I have the EB headers, clearence is great, the Y pipe from them is also only like $100 shipped, one of the cheapest Y pipes I've ever seen. It all bolts up great. I've had no problems with my Y pipe banging either.

I have the Edelbrock with Ti-tech. I like them. They look good, perform well. You have to weld on your own O2 bungs though (which I kind of liked, I didn't need the extensions), and the slip on collectors leak a little it seems sometimes, but I could tell a performance difference once the cpu adjusted a little bit for running rich at first.

I have the edelbrocks and the headers and y pipe tuck up real tight and stepped headers will always make more power even on a stock bolt on car. the ti tech coating is awesome and they slid right in. only thing i would change would be for them to make a race style since they look better then block off plates on the emmision stuff.

For a newbie chaod go with Pacesetters. For an experienced performer, go with Edlebrocks. Of course there will be a lot of nutswingers on the Pacesetters. Those are the people who dont know about quality and HP in the same sentence.

Have the Edelbrock race style headers and ory.... doesn't even sounds like the same car anymore it sounds much more like a real musclecar. And who doesn't like the nice smell of gas in the morning on start up?! One question I have, what is the size of the y-pipe on the edelbrocks? It looks like 3.5" because it is larger than my Magnaflow 3" catback.

Mine is around 3.5 + ......actually hangs too low on dr.side and it will not go up anymore..thinking about taking it off and slightly crushing it...won't affect hp at that size of pipe that much but will get 1/2 " of ground clearance for sure. .

Y pipe is 3.5 inch at the collector, but 3 inch everywhere else.

Is there room on the Edelbrock y-pipe for a cat to be welded in? I live in a cats-required county.
