Default Husky filter for oil catch can...observe polarity????

I just did the oil catch can mod to try to solve my oil burning problem. Right now, it is so bad that if I drive 10 miles, I can see little black "specs" all over the back bumper (it`s a white car). Anyway, I just bought the Husky air compressor filter from Home Depot and installed it. While I was putting it in, I noticed that there is an inlet and an outlet. Does it matter which one goes to what when doing this mod? Currenty I have the inlet side going to the LS-2 valley cover and the output going to the back of the intake manifold, which seems to make sense to me. Thoughts?

Thumbs up

That is the correct flow path. The object is to filter the oil from the air before it enters the intake manifold.
