i'd like to see some bigger pics of yours. it looks more polished than ported. I can see the lip area very well and alot of meat still on it. I noticed the shaft is cut, but other than that not much else.

I left some lip on my TB like 1/32". It does look like its just polished but yeah, I ported as much I can w/o harming the area where the blade sits. The lip you're looking at is actually the shine around the 1/32" lip that I left.

I also sharpened both 12 o' clock and 6 o' clock of the TB blade edges.

Thanks guys.

Now I know what I need to do.

Next question, who ports these? I do not want to do it myself.

And I would prefer to do a core charge swap as well.

new era performance. They don't do cores, but they have your tb done the same day it arrives! Turnaround time is VERY fast. I'm happy with mine

Nice work on the blade and the shaft. Ill see if I can find a picture of one of my ports or cyphur_traq's ports..

I took alot out of mine... I used to get bored and pull it off and port on it for an hour or so with some small rolls.....

I went a little further with it a few days later, though I never pulled the shaft and cut it.

Oh and i cut those stupid coolant pipes off too.

Took the TB out of the car again to smooth out the blade and some imperfections in TB. I want to make it more BLING like yours.

I'd spend more time getting the port smoothed out than worrying about how shiney it is.....
I wet sanded mine with 600grit and left it at that. I highly doubt that .05cfm gain by polishing is worhtwhile......
but it looks cool...

I didnt' really care though, I had the stock coupler and a maf in place on a car with a 408 and a speed density tune...... hell it made 470 w/o so much as a valvejob on the heads.....

There are more areas to improve upon. Area A needs to be epoxied and Area B needs to be filed (not much) for more blade opening. There are good instructions somewhere on this sight.

Brandon,
Didn't your 408 also have stock 241 heads. Thats a lot of power with just stock heads. Awsome!

Hell who needs heads!

get the right combination between an excellent engine builder and a tuner that accepts nothing less than perfection and thats what you get.

Suprisingly, that car made more power than some cars that had larger cam/heads/headers/intake... I planned on a set of heads for the car and wanted to push 520ish on that *small* 244/248 cam with the 1 3/4 headers and ls6 intake... shouldnt have been too hard, but i sold it.
