Why is the muffler smashed up anyway?

I Noticed you have the dual mig welder from Harbor Freight that has provisions for gas. Did you use gas or flux core wire? I am guessing flux because I thought I remembered seeing some of the brown powder from the flux wire.

I didnt even notice that... Ive got the same welder. Works pretty well, but tends to go into temp protect mode on hot days if you use it for too long on a high setting. Might install a fan one of these days.

To make room for the sump in the gas tank. I was using a flux core wire.

Yeah it definitely doesn't have a high duty cycle but it works pretty good. I fire off some welds then give it a little time to cool while I do other stuff. Leaving the wire feed access door open seemed to help a little too.
