Default Mufflers for a X pipe

well im gonna get a X pipe from a friend brand new never installed and im wondering what kind of mufflers or resonators will sound best on my setup?? i want to get rid of the flowmaster and the cutout just isnt cutting it for me anymore, my friend is running flowmaster one chamber mufflers but those arent loud enough for me. What would you guys recommend?? i was thinking SLP loudmouth resonators.

If 1-chambers aren't loud enough for you, look into bullets and such. Dynomax, Loudmouth, Magnaflow, etc all make bullet-style "mufflers" for the cars that work great for clearance and sound loud!

If 1-chambers aren't loud enough for you, maybe you should try open headers .

I have the Dynomax 3"x12" long. They sound sweet to me and I get lots of complements as well.

If you like loud, Dynomax is about the best choice IMO. Magnaflows are a lot quieter, or you could go with the Flo Pro Twisters, they make a great sound also, and aren't quite as loud as the Dynomax.

if i were you i'd get flowmaster 1 chambers. they're tiny, only 6 1/2" i believe? they'll tuck up. i wouldn't sacrifice that awesome sound just to gain a lousy 1/2" more of clearance.

i suppose if you're REALLY that against 1 chambers i'd get dynomax bullets if i were you. i've never been a big fan of the sweet thunders - too raspy/tinny/crackly at least in the sound clips i've heard.

if flowmaster single chambers are out, i'd steer clear from the magnaflow 4X9's as they won't give you any more clearance over a flowmaster single chamber. you're really limiting yourself here

well my friends Z just got the X pipe with them on it and they are too bulky looking under the car for me, i want something that is sleek, sounds awsome, and flows good.

not trying to be a dick but you won't see the muffler's under the car, who cares what they look like

well they may hang down a little bit but i doubt it'll be an eyesore. you can tuck them up nice if you want. get your exhaust based on sound first. then again, don't let me decide for you either. just don't limit yourself here. the last thing you wanna be is disappointed in your choice in the end. i'd hate to see you not getting the sound you desire because of silly looks/clearance issues that don't amount to much in the end.

This might help you out some. His video's kinda suck, but he's got some good clearance pictures on there. My boyfriend drove his car and said it was really really quiet with the Magnaflow's.

that would be a major help monicaz28

and Chocotaco369 i understand what you mean but when i was behind him i could see them and it just took up alot of room it looked like, i dont know it could just be me but i heard bullets sound the best and flow the best also. i know the flowmaster one chambers are suppose to be really good mufflers but they arent my style.

Cool cool. I just got my Ms4 cam. The video that I'm gonna get for you today is a TRex cammed car with all the major bolt ons with the flo pros. I think you will be pleased on the sound and I'll get a shot of the underneath too. It did have bullets on it, but they were obnoxiously loud sometimes... and the twisters have a nice rumble, not just rasp.

yeah thats one thing i want to get rid of is that rasp and blat blat blat sound from my open cutout, it sounds good at wot but under light acceleration has a crappy raspy sound, i know what the flowmaster one chambers sound like since i heard them and saw them on my friends Z yesterday but would like to see what bullets especially dynomax bullets or actually any bullets sound like through an X pipe. And MonicaZ28 you definantly need to post some video once you get that badass MS4 in there
