yeah, a shop near me charges $450 for just up to the axel, and almost $1000 for over the axel and out the back. if he knows what he is doing(the installer) id say go for it.

Thanks for the replys. Going over the axle is too expensive, and going under the axle does not take any ground clearance away because of where the tires are. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Have you ever looked under our cars? The bottom of the sway bar, which is UNDER the axle, is higher than the damn car body that the exhaust has to run under regardless.

My clearance under my axle is better than the rest of my system, which rides pretty high and dry itself.

Example) Say you have TSP duals with bullets then cut the dumps off. You can weld on a straight pipe that will pass directly under the axle. At this point, the pipe his even higher than the bullets (4" OD). Its DEFINATLY higher than the driver side floorboard dip.

Even if it WAS lower, the section is so close to the rear tires that they will lift it up and carry it over things.

Thinking that under the axle is going to cost you clearance coems from listening to other people who don't know what they are talking about.

Absolutely.......going under the axles is a very logical option. The only issue I can see is lifting the car and the axle resting on the pipes.....which is taken care of with flanges welded on right before the axle. Drop the pipes and lift the car...it takes five minutes longer.

maybe, i just never have not seen anyone around me go under the axle, but i have heard of people doing it. i think for prolly 50-100 more bucks that i would just take it over the axle and be done with it, thats at least what i would do in my situation, so that it would be out of the way if i ever wanted to do any work back there in the future, now would u have to remvoe the exhaust to work back there(suspension swaps)
